Kelis Seemingly Deny’s Bill Murray Dating Rumors

Kelis is addressing some pesky rumors about her love again.

Earlier this month, the “Milkshake” singer was photographed with actor Bill Murray after her performance at the Mighty Hoopla music festival in London on June 3. A few days later the internet was convinced the two were dating thanks to a story posted by the Sun.

According to the tabloid Kelis is now seeing the Ghostbusters star, and have been “getting close for a while” after first meeting in their native U.S.

Over the weekend, the 43-year-old “Bossy” performer responded to an Instagram comment referencing her rumored romance with Murray, 72.

In the comments section underneath a photo of Kelis on the beach, a fan wrote, “bill got u out here riding his wave,” adding, “media is destroying y’all lol.”

“Lol yeah maybe for now,” replied the Grammy nominee. “everyones dumb and will believe everything but the best part is we are both blessed, rich and happy. So who’s really laughing […] now that’s funny.”

Elsewhere in the same comments section, a fan asked, “Ma’am would you care to address these Bill Murray allegations?!? Cuz damn! What he doing with all that?!?”

Kelis responded, “lol no babe, I wouldn’t bother at all.”

According to the Sun, Kelis and Murray “bonded” since Kelis’s second husband, Mike Mora, died in March last year, while Bill’s estranged wife — Jennifer Butler — passed away in 2021.

Murray has not responded to the reports. It’s safe to say he’s a fan of Kelis’ music, but that seems to be about it.
