Terrence J is safe and sound after a dangerous encounter with an armed gunmen.

The actor and TV host told cops he escaped what appears to be an attempted robbery just outside his home … and he also says the alleged suspects fired shots at him.

Los Angeles Police Department Officer Lizeth Lomeli told KTLA Terrence and another passenger in were pulling into his driveway in Sherman Oaks around 3 AM when another car pulled up with 4 Black men inside. One of the men then ordered Terrence out of his car.

Terrence, real name Terrence Jenkins, reportedly refused the command, and took off in his car. He told cops the suspects chased his vehicle and fired at his car before they fled. He reportedly then flagged down a passing California Highway Patrol car, who called the LAPD.

Cops took a report for assault with a deadly weapon with shots fired. Police are currently investigating. Terrence has yet to make a public statement.

A neighbor, Rouhel Feinstein, said that a similar incident occurred at their house four months ago.

“It’s very concerning. We’ve put security in our house, cameras and all kinds of things,” Feinstein said. “It’s a big problem.”

The incident occurred just days after LAPD warned of an ongoing trend in which victims are targeted, followed home or to work and are robbed.

Investigators are looking into whether Wednesday’s incident is another example of a follow-home robbery and if Jenkins was targeted.
