Teyana Taylor has seen much success in her singing career — hit songs, stellar videos, award nominations, and more. But, the 30-year-old songstress is ready to throw in the towel.
Her fans love her — the numbers are undeniable!
And the talent is undeniable, as well, but unfortunately that’s not enough for TT to stay in the game. In an Instagram post, Taylor revealed that the struggle is certainly real when dealing with her label Def Jam. “I constant feel alone, I constantly feel unappreciated, I constantly feel failed … because there’s literally no push!”
The “W.T.P’ singer continued by explaining that walking away from music was of the utmost importance to protect her health. “I gotta do it for my mental health, I have to do it for my emotional health, I have to do it for my kids so I can stay alive for my kids … and until I’m free, until I can get them to release me, yes I want to retire. I don’t want to do this anymore!”
Although we’ll miss her music, we certainly wish her the very best. Teyana turns 30-years-old today, so we know she has so much more to share with the world!
