Finally, Wendy Williams is addressing her impending divorce, and the subsequent drama surrounding her life, in a way only Wendy could … with vagueness and humor.

Williams started her talk show with her popular segment “Hot Topics” and finally acknowledge that she is probably the hottest topic of all right now. The segment’s motto has always been “Their business is our business” and as the host stated, “It’s crazy ’cause now my business is your business. It’s kind of funny. Turnabouts a fair game, I get it.”

Without going too much in depth, Williams did reveal that her sister is in town as a source of support and that she plans to move out of the sober-living house she’s been in since January in just a few days stating, “It’ll be Wendy on her own.” The 54-year-old also opened up about how she’s come to make some recent decisions in her life:

“I have to tell you, you know, I’ve been dealing with issues with addiction, alcoholism, and I have a whole new life that I planned for myself and my son,” she said. “Believe me you, when you lay in a room with no TV and four gray walls all day … this is my life in the sober house, it’s one of the best things, honestly, that could have ever happened to me.”

“It’s one of the best things, honestly, that could’ve ever happened to me because, when you think about your life, you think about how you’ve been delivering to the world,” she said. “Everybody has things in their life that they’re embarrassed to share with the world, or they’re frightened to share with the world, or they’re not ready to share with the world and addressing my sobriety, my addiction, head on has really helped me sort out every single compartment of my life.”

It’s been speculated that Wendy’s filing for divorce comes on the heels of her husband Kevin Hunter having a baby with his mistress, Sharina Hudson. It’s also being reported that, although Wendy lived in Livingston, NJ, with Hunter, she’s currently looking for an apartment in New York City. We wish Wendy the best.
