R. Kelly’s “Surviving Lies” Won’t Survive On Facebook

Well, this is awkward. Today is R. Kelly’s birthday — however, it’s not much of a celebration. Actually, the Pied Piper of R&B may be a bit disappointed that his attempt at clearing his name has hit a major roadblock.

Following the shocking 6-part Lifetime docu-series, “Surviving R. Kelly“, Kells and his team vowed to discredit the stories of the survivors by blasting them with their own site called, “Surviving Lies”. But, it looks like one of R’s “fans” may have beat him to it with a Facebook page by the same name.

The page, which was focused on poking holes in the stories of Kelly accusers involved in the doc, alleges that Faith Rogers and Asante McGee are working with Joycelyn Savage’s father to extort money from the platinum singer.

The FB page racked up about 5,000 likes before the social networking site pulled it down, saying, “The Page violated our Community Standards and has been removed. We do not tolerate bullying or sharing other’s private contact information and take action on content that violates our policies as soon as we’re aware.”

However, R. and his team still admittedly denied all of the accusations alleged against him in “Surviving R. Kelly”.
