Meagan Good just gave SNL’s Leslie Jones hope for the future. Not to mention, the thousands of fans who saw the sweet comment.
On Wednesday, Jones shared a photo of herself working out at the gym. The post, however, was about Jones’ unhappiness and feelings of doubt. “Ok back to cardio. But confession I feel like I’m doing it for nothing,” she wrote.
Jones added, “I know it not I’m healthy and look good but I really feel like “what’s it all for” if the people you want to notice don’t. I just feel like I might die alone. Sorry that’s pretty heavy today!!”
But don’t worry, Good came to save the day with some wise and uplifting words. “The right people will notice .. you are a ‘Gift’ and God doesn’t give His precious gifts away to everyone .. He’s selective .. He gives you to who He can trust.”
She continued, “Your doing it for something .. your preparing for something (career, relationship, purpose etc.) Making it so that your body will continue to take you wherever God wants you to go. He has a plan and He WILL give you the desires of your heart at the perfect time, with the right people/person.”
Good, who seems to be taking pages out of her husband, pastor Devon Franklin’s book, concluded, “Be encouraged sis, you are one of a kind and you are SOOO dope! Lol, God ain’t giving you away to just anybody. You too bomb for that.”
This is not the first time Leslie has been candid about feeling insecure. Back in 2017, she told Conan O’Brien that “I kind of am seeing someone, but, like, it’s a secret so I don’t want everybody bothering him.”
Folks believed the star and was excited for possible love. Jones, however, later came out and suggested the secret boyfriend was a lie. “There was never a secret boyfriend. I have terrible luck with men. Real talk. They do not like me lol!!,” she tweeted.
Jones also made headlines back in 2016, Jones took to Twitter to reveal that no designers wanted to dress her for the Ghostbusters premiere. But not even an hour after posting the tweet, season four Project Runway winner and world renowned designer, Christian Siriano, responded, “YAAAAAASSSSSS.”
