UPDATE: Police have taken Raheem Thomas into custody in connection with the shootout followed by the robbery of rapper, Fetty Wap. According to reports, the Instagram post of the apparent culprit wearing Fetty’s chain was enough to detain him.
Fetty Wap was robbed of his famous 1738 chain over the weekend, and now, the man who the Internet believes is the culprit is speaking out.
Folks started pointing the finger at a man named Fuzz, the CEO of Muscle Team Entertainment after he posted a photo on Instagram of him holding Wap’s big gold chain.
Fuzz, whose legal name is Raheem Thomas, however, is adamant he had no involvement.
He wrote on Instagram: “Just to set the record straight. I personally didn’t take @fettywap1738 chain. I’m not responsible for no one else action but my own. I don’t have a personal problem Fetty Wap. He just a good kid in the way. How he got his chain taken I don’t know and I don’t care. That’s none of my business. Did I take a picture with it? Yes. The whole down the hill got a picture with it on. Now enjoy the rest of y’all night. I will love to take the credit for it but unfortunately, my Instagram is no liar.”
While Fuzz has not claimed responsibility for the robbery, he has had beef with the rapper regarding business deals gone wrong.
Fetty was robbed over the weekend, which apparently led to a shootout on Sunday morning in Paterson, New Jersey. During the gunfire, three men were injured and taken to the hospital.
