The foxy ladies of Basketball Wives are back and in full effect. The VH1 reality show premieres tonight (August 19), and HipHollywood has all the deets on what fans can expect this season.
“This season is more grown up I would say. You’ll see the growth of all of us. Four seasons we’ve been sitting watching ourselves, and you can find the things you like and you don’t like about yourself, and you hopefully adjust in those areas,” Shaunie O’Neal, star and executive producer told HipHollywood during an exclusive interview.
“You won’t see a bottle flying by my head to hit the girl back there, I’m proud of that,” O’Neal added.
And although the ladies have left the bottle throwing behind, O’Neal assures us fans can still expect some juicy drama. “We definitely have our disagreements. We definitely have our arguments. We just are able to deal with it in a much better way,” she explained.
In previous seasons, Shaunie was known to be the quiet one who never spoke up when there was an issue. But this season, the star is more than opinionated, especially when it comes to new basketball wife, Tasha Marbury, wife of former NBA star, Stephon Marbury.
“Tasha is, we tell her this on the show, so she already knows, she’s extra bougie,” Shaunie shared. “Tasha has a very different sense of humor and she can sometimes come off extremely sarcastic and it’s not taken so well. You’ll see, it gets a little rough in there from some comments that Tasha has and how they’re delivered,” she explained.
Tune in for Basketball Wives tonight at 8 P.M. on VH1.
