Contrary to reports, former B2K member Raz B is not on life support in a random hospital somewhere in China.
Last week, the singer was attacked during a nightclub brawl near Shanghai. Pictures of Raz with a bloodied face, followed by reports from his camp that he was in a coma, led to the singer’s face being plastered all over the Internet with fans calling for prayers for him. But it turns out that someone was playing up Raz’ injuries for a little publicity.
The singer’s brother, Ricky Romance, released a statement attempting to explain the miscommunication after a publicist admitted to CNN it was all a hoax.
“I was unfortunately unable to contact my brother at the time and then panicked,” Romance said. “I then alerted as many people of this information hoping to gather facts … Since the source that gave me this information was what I thought to be legitimately reliable I didn’t question, I just believed. I apologize if I seem like I jumped to conclusions but a coma is a serious situation and it was concerning my brother whom is my best friend as well. I sincerely apologize for the confusion I caused if that is the case.”
Sounds like a publicity stunt to us.
