Tyrese Ordered To Pay Ex-Wife $636K For Unpaid Child Support
Tyrese just got hit where it hurts the most — his wallet!
On Tuesday, the Fast X actor was ordered to cough up $636,000 to his ex-wife Samantha Lee Gibson for unpaid child support and attorney fees.
In court, the singer/actor argued that the $10K per month child support he was ordered to pay last year was excessive, claiming that his ex makes good money on her own. But the judge wasn’t having it and held him in contempt.
Ty was ordered to fork over $237K to Samantha for back child support and $399K to her attorneys.
He told TMZ he plans to appeal the judgement, but not because he can’t afford the hefty sum.
Last August, the 44-year-old was ordered to pay $10,690/month in child support for his daughter, Soraya. The judge said the $10k/month dates back to when Samantha first filed for divorce in Sept. 2020 which meant he owed his ex a lump sum of $209k.
The judge did however knock off $46k since Tyrese paid Samantha’s car payments for 2 years bringing the lump sum down to $169k.
Tyrese accused the judge of being “racist” and biased against him. He said in an Instagram video that he tried to have the judge removed from the case and also called for a ‘peaceful protest’ at the courthouse.

Samantha filed for divorce from the six-time Grammy nominee in September 2020 after secretly getting married on Valentine’s Day in 2017.
Samantha’s attorney Adam Gleklen said that she wants to co-parent with Tyrese, follow the court’s orders and move ahead cordially.
