It looks like police may be a bit closer to finding the person who killed Migos rapper Takeoff.

According to Houston Fox 26, authorities have a man in custody seen on video during the murder in downtown Houston.

Cameron Joshua, 22, was arrested on Tuesday, November 22, according to court documents, on gun charges including felony to possess a firearm and unlawfully carrying a weapon.

A previously convicted felon, Cameron was arrested for “unlawfully, intentionally, and knowingly possessing a firearm at a location other than the premises at which the Defendant lived” on November 1.

He was previously convicted of Grand Theft in Los Angeles County on October 27, official court records stated.

While Joshua’s connection to Takeoff’s case has not been disclosed by law enforcement officials, his presence is apparent in the video moments before the Migos rapper was shot down.

His detainment comes just a few days after the Houston Police Department provided an update on their murder investigation. While they have not made any arrests directly connected to the murder, the police chief, Troy Finner, feels hopeful.

“I feel good where we’re progressing. You remember on that day, I met with his mother. I talked with that lady personally, made a promise and there’s a lot being said. We want all investigations on murders when people are being killed to move. But the main thing is we get it right.”

As previously reported, the fatal shooting happened on November 1, around 2:30 a.m. at 810 Billiards & Bowling.
