Twitter Weighs In On Best & Worst Looks At The 2022 Met Gala

It’s the first Monday in May, so you know what that means? It’s time for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute gala aka the MET Gala.

This years theme was “In America: An Anthology of Fashion” specifically Gilded Glamour.

But instead of us dishing on who was hot and who was not we turned to Black Twitter for their two cents. Here’s who folks thought were hot and who had ya’ll bothered.

Kerry Washington

Kerry Washington rocked a sheer black Tory Burch gown that had tongues wagging online.

Kim Kardashian

Kim Kardashian rocked one of the most iconic dresses in history — the sparkly, slinky dress Marilyn Monroe wore when she sang “Happy Birthday” to President John F. Kennedy in 1962. So was the internet impressed? Most folks thought she looked gorgeous while others were shocked she lost 16 lbs to fit in the gown.

Gabrielle Union

Gabrielle Union and hubby Dwyane Wade wore custom Versace looks that earned them a double round of applause. Union’s look was particularly special — the actress paid homage to the late Diahnn Carol.

Nicki Minaj

Nicki Minaj rocked a black Burberry look arriving hand in hand with designer Ricardo Tisci. Her baseball cap and gown got mixed reviews on Twitter.

Lori Harvey

Lori Harvey looked ABSolutely gorgeous in this Michael kore dress, but folks online felt it wasn’t on theme.

Teyanna Taylor

Teyanna Taylor rocked this dreamy Iris Van Herpen gown and social media LOVED IT.

Cardi B came thru dripping rocking a gold chain Versace gown with pounds of gold coins, and the consensus was … HOT!

Lizzo didn’t come to play, she came to slay in this Thome Browne look. She also got major praise for playing her custom flute on the carpet.
