Vivica A. Fox Slams Laverne Cox For “Tacky” Comment To Will And Jada
Vivica A. Fox had some words for Laverne Cox following her interview with Will Smith and wife Jada Pinkett Smith at the 2022 Screen Actors Guild Awards.
In case you missed it, Cox switched from her role as actress to red carpet host for E!’s pre-ceremony on Sunday (Feb 27). While talking to the power couple, Cox decided to crack a joke about Jada’s “entanglement” with singer August Alsina.
The moment immediately went viral and had everybody talking … including Vivica, who called Cox “tacky” during her show “Cocktails With Queens” on Fox Soul.

“Talk about wrong place, wrong time,” Fox stated.
“As she’s standing next to her husband who is absolutely in line to win an Oscar for playing the role of Richard in King Richard… Maybe she [Cox] was trying to have her ‘Joan Rivers’ moment.”
We’d have to agree with Vivica. It was a completely uncalled for comment, especially given a night when Smith won his first EVER SAG award for his role in King Richard. He should have been celebrated, not shaded, but that’s just our two cents. Let us know what you think in the comments.
