Ava DuVernay Does It Again: Gives Colin Kaepernick His Flowers In ‘Colin In Black And White’

Ava DuVernay has another hit series on her resume.

The trailblazing director’s latest project, the six-part Netflix series “Colin in Black and White” centers on NFL player Colin Kaepernick who made global headlines in 2016 when he took a knee during the national anthem.

The limited series debuts on Netflix today and we caught up with DuVernay about what fans can expect and her approach to telling Kaepernick’s story.

On Thursday night Kaepernick hit the red carpet for the world premiere of the series he co-created with DuVernay.
