Snoop Dogg Gives Update On His Mother’s Health: “She Is Still Fighting”
Snoop Dogg’s mother is still in the hospital for unknown health reasons.
On Sunday, the rap legend took to his Instagram account to share with fans his mother’s current status. The “Gin N Juice” rapper uploaded a picture standing over his mother’s hospital bed with a caption that read:
“Happy Sunday me and my brothers went to c mama today and she opened up her eyes to c us and let us know she still fighting. God is good [double pink heart emoji] [praying hands emoji] thanks for all the prayers 1 day at a time”

Snoop first told fans to pray for his mother, Beverly Tate, back in May, but did not disclose her status at that time.
He has since continued to thank fans for their love and support and shared periodic updates.
Over the years Snoop has opened up about his close bond with his mother. He told HipHollywood in 2018 that his gospel album “Bible Of Love” was inspired by his mother who raised him in the church.
Last February, he also spoke about how Tate convinced him to apologize to Gayle King after criticizing her interview with WNBA star Lisa Leslie following the tragic death of Kobe Bryant.
“My mother raised me in church and she raised me to respect women,” Snoop said of seeing the error of his ways. “It was certain things she said to me that took me back to being a little kid. And when your mama can make you feel like a kid, that’s when you gotta get right.”
