Social Media Has Mixed Feelings About Upcoming Chris Brown & Tory Lanez Album

Published

Tory Lanez and Chris Brown are reportedly cooking up a collaborative album — but not everyone is feeling it.

Lanez made the announcement during a recent interview with DJ Carisma following a virtual performance of his new album Playboy. Immediately folks on Twitter started sharing their two cents and the reactions were mixed.

One user wrote: “Tory Lanez & Chris Brown coming together to make the domestic violence album of the year”

While another wrote: “Chris Brown & Tory Lanez are the new NWA .. N*ggaz With Assault charges”

Lanez was charged with shooting Megan Thee Stallion last June while Chris is forever linked to his 2009 assault on former girlfriend Rihanna.

Still others seem to look forward to the project, even if they are ashamed to admit it.

Chris and Tory have collaborated before — on the single “The Take,” off on Lanez’ Chixtape 5, which samples Chris’ 2008 hit “Take You Down.” They also recently collaborated on “Tell Me How You Feel” and “Lurkin” for Breezy’s Indigo album.

Lanez shared with Rap-Up back in 2019 what it was like working with Breezy on Chixtape.

“When me and Chris work, we just work mad fast,” said Tory. “I didn’t think he would do it honestly and he just came out the clutch and sent it one day.”

He also went on to reveal that they have recorded 9-10 tracks (“A little short EP joint”) and plan to return to the studio to finish.
