Trey Songz Arrested! Why The Singer Is Lucky To Be Alive…

Trey Songz went from turning up to being taken into custody in no time flat. While at the Chiefs vs. Bills game the R&B singer found himself in a fight with police officers, but thankfully he was able to walk away with his life.

The video is shocking — Songz is in a full on fisticuffs with a flurry of officers surrounding him. At one point it looks like he swings and connects with a cops face before putting him in a headlock. Moments later, he’s tackled and cuffed.

This all went down at Arrowhead Stadium during the AFC championship game on Sunday. Witnesses tell TMZ that, “the whole thing started when Trey was being heckled by some fans a few rows behind him and he asked them to chill out … an officer approached Trey, and without warning, went after him.” Apparently the encounter caught Trey off guard and he simply started to defend himself.

Unfortunately, we’ve seen all too often how incidents like this can end in death, especially for Black men. Thankfully, the silver-lining here is that Songz is still alive. He was arrested for trespassing, resisting arrest, and for assaulting a police officer. Currently, he’s still in custody on a 24-hour hold, and will likely be released Monday night.
