Who’s going home with Trigga?!!! Well, no one is right now. Trey Songz is just the latest celebrity to announce that they’ve contracted COVID-19. The singer revealed the news in an Instagram video on Monday, but says he’s taking it “seriously” and “will be self-quarantining” until he sees “a negative sign” on his test.
Songz, the father of a one-year-old little boy, said that he’s taken many precautions due to the fact that he interacts with the public quite frequently. “I’ve taken many tests as I’ve been out protesting, food drives, of course I have a very young son at home, so I get tested periodically and, this time, unfortunately it came back positive,” he shared on social media.
Trey also shared that he believes his grandfather passed away due to COVID earlier this year and that’s why he’s always taken it very seriously — unlike Donald Trump. “If you come in contact with COVID, please do the same. Please do the same. Don’t be like the president,” Trigga stated.
Songz ended his message by thank fans for their support and sending them “much love and peace.”
Trey joins the list of celebs like Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Idris Elba, Kevin Durant and more who have contracted COVID-19. Thankfully, they’ve all fully recovered and it looks like Songz will as well.
