Denzel Washington is super proud his children are following in his famous footsteps.

While his son John David Washington, 36,  has proven to be a chip off the proverbial block with roles in Blackkklansman, Tenet and the upcoming Netflix film Malcom & Marie, Denzel’s daughters are also making a name for themselves in Hollywood.

When we caught up with the two-time Oscar winner about his role in The Little Things, he beamed with pride talking about daughters Olivia, 29 and Katia, 34.

“My daughter [Olivia] is in The Little Things,” he said with a huge grin. When we replied that we didn’t know that he responded: “That’s how good she is. You gotta go watch it again now.”

“Yeah and “Malcom and Marie” is executive produced by my other daughter, Katia,” he added.

Washington also revealed what attracted him to The Little Things. Yes, playing Sheriff Deputy Joe “Deke” Deacon opposite fellow Oscar winners Rami Malek and Jared Leto was a draw, but it was also something much more simple.

“It was well written, first of all, and because it was different,” he replied. “The time that it took place, just before the explosion of the information age and social network and the internet and all of that, it’s just a fascinating time to shoot a movie,” he confessed.

Meanwhile Jared Leto who is no stranger to playing creepy characters admitted he had a lot of fun crafting Albert Sparma — the chief suspect in the serial killer case.

“I wanted to push things as far as we could without crossing the line,” he confessed. “And it was… Yeah, it was exciting and just a great team of collaborators the whole way through and working with these two… And John Lee Hancock was just a dream.”

The Little Things debuts on HBO Max and in theaters January 29.
