It’s been quite the ride for Tayshia Adams, but as the roller-coaster comes to a stop, The Bachelorette says she feeling “grateful” for the journey.

This season of “The Bachelorette” was the most unique yet. Tayshia took the helm in November, effectively replacing Clare Crawley, who said, “yes,” to a mid-season proposal from former NFL player Dale Moss, 32. From that moment on, Adams, who had appeared on Colton Underwood’s season of “The Bachelor,” hit the ground running in search of true love.

And while love is the ultimate goal, much of the immediate discussion about Tayshia focused on the fact that she was only the second Black Bachelorette in the show’s 16 season history — a fact that was not lost on Adams.

When we sat-down with the 30-year-old she revealed feeling “pressure” to make the Black community proud. “I got really emotional really early on because I knew the magnitude of my platform,” Tayshia stated. “I knew what I was representing.”

And now, as the season comes to a close, Tayshia is reflecting on her journey with gratitude and excitement for the future.

So, has she found true love? You’ll have to see when “The Bachelorette” finale airs Monday and Tuesday at 8 p.m. on ABC.
