Nene Leakes Wants Fans To Boycott Bravo

Nene Leakes might not be suing Bravo for discrimination but she is championing a boycott against the network.

Back in September Nene claimed that she was “forced off” the Real Housewives Of Atlanta and wasn’t given a “fair offer” to film season 13. She also said that Andy Cohen is “racist” and a “master manipulator.”

Now, the reality-television star is endorsing a petition to boycott Bravo amid claims of unfair treatment of Black talent behind-the-scenes.

“Y’all ready to start this boycott yet? What has happened behind the scenes is WRONG!” NeNe tweeted on Monday. “While others were being promoted, BLACK WOMEN who created shows, created genres, built franchise, and built networks were being DEMOTED … TURN OFF YOUR TV’S.”

In another tweet, she shared the link to a Change.org petition hoping to hold Bravo TV, and its parent company NBCUniversal, responsible for their actions toward both herself and ”Married to Medicine” star and executive producer Mariah Huq.

On Monday evening Leakes also went on Instagram Live with attorney Benjamin Crump to discuss her issues with the network.

“When you work at these companies you want elevation, everyone wants to level up in their opportunities at their jobs, as an original housewife, a lot of these girls were being elevated and I was being demoted,” she added.

“I was being given less and less and these girls were given more and more episodes. Original housewives across the board, other places they were getting full seasons and I was getting less episodes every season.”

Ultimately Nene said she wants to have a “conversation” with Bravo.

“I think it’s a way for us to take a seat at the table and have a conversation with Bravo. What I want from Bravo is for them to sit down with me and my representatives and have a conversation.”

Hmmm, are ya’ll boycotting Bravo … or will you be tuning in one more week for part 3 of that Real Housewives Of Potomac reunion?
