Black Twitter Goes In On Trump’s COVID-19 Diagnosis

Late Thursday night, Donald Trump revealed that he and his wife Melania had tested positive for COVID-19. This news came just one day after his senior adviser, Hope Hicks, tested positive after having traveled with the Trumps extensively in the past week.

Tonight, @FLOTUS and I tested positive for COVID-19. We will begin our quarantine and recovery process immediately. We will get through this TOGETHER!

As expected, the news was met with mixed reactions. Of course, Democratic nominees Joe Biden and Kamala Harris took the high road and sent their well wishes.

However, the rest of Twitter rejoiced in the petty with memes mocking the man who downplayed COVID-19 and called it a hoax.

If he’s faking it he gets to 1) duck a debate, 2) look strong when he “recovers” quickly, and 3) FLOTUS can avoid interviews about the tapes.
