Update: Tamar Braxton Receiving The “Best” Mental Health Care

It’s been over a week since Tamar Braxton was hospitalized after being found unresponsive by her boyfriend Davida Adefeso. Now, Adefeso is providing a positive update on the reality show star saying she’s receiving “the best” possible care.
As previously reported Braxton was hospitalized on Thursday evening (July 14) after allegedly attempting to take her own life. She was found unresponsive by Adefeso at the Ritz-Carlton residences in Los Angeles. At the time, Adefeso told police his “girlfriend had been drinking and taken an unknown amount of prescription pills. And that he believed it was a possible suicide attempt.”
Now, David is telling The Blast that, “Tamar is currently receiving the best available medical attention to address those struggles and strengthen her mental health, and her family and I will remain by her side throughout her treatment.” He also issued the statement below:
“On behalf of Tamar Braxton, I want to thank her fans and the public for the ongoing thoughts and prayers. Tamar is a beautifully talented woman, a devoted mother, a loving girlfriend, a dear sister and a special friend to countless people. This is an extremely difficult time for Tamar and her family as she navigates professional and personal struggles including her battle with depression.”
This message comes on the heels of Braxton’s friend NeNe Leakes providing an update earlier this week. Thankfully, it looks like Tamar has loads of support in her corner and is receiving excellent care.
