Mo’Nique Shuts Down Rumors She’s Replacing Nene Leakes on ‘RHOA’

Mo’Nique is saying no my loves to reports she’s joining the Real Housewives of Atlanta.

Social media recently went wild with rumors that the comedienne would be bringing her comedic talents, personality, and shade skills to the franchise.

One outlet even claimed Bravo was swapping out Nene Leakes and her husband Greg for Mo and her hubby Sidney.

Mo’Nique shut down the rumors herself in a video on Instagram.

“No, my sweet babies, I am NOT doing the Real Housewives of Atlanta,” said Mo while cooking watermelon steak. “And in my humble opinion NeNe Leakes is irreplaceable. NeNe Leakes IS the Real Housewives of Atlanta if you ask me baby, that’s been 13 years.”

“So no, I am NOT joining that cast though I respect all of those sisters they do what they do, and I am NOT replacing NeNe Leaks. Y’all know my spirit couldn’t take it. I couldn’t do those confessions talking about my sisters like that. I sure would to f**** meet source cause source be saying s****,” she added slamming the “source” who spread the rumor. “Source is a popular b*** because she knows everybody’s business.”

Leakes never responded to the rumors regarding Mo’Nique but did slam claims that she was being booted from the show. As previously reported she told HipHollywood that she was actually in contract negotiations with the Bravo despite reports she hadn’t been offered a spot for the new season.

She also hinted she’s in talks for a spin-off.

For what it’s worth we never really thought Mo was joining the show … BUT boy would she have been a great addition to the cast.

Ya’ll know Mo does not mince her words when she is mad. It doesn’t matter if you are Whoopi Goldberg or Oprah Winfrey you will get that smoke if you cross her.
