“Love & Marriage: Huntsville” Star Melody Holt Files For Divorce

We can’t say we didn’t see this one coming! “Love & Marriage: Huntsville” star Melody Holt has quietly filed for divorce from her husband Martell.

According BOSSIP the reality star mother of four filed for divorce late last month, citing an “irretrievable breakdown” of her marriage to Martell. She said she and her estranged husband cannot bear to live together and there’s no chance of reconciliation, according to the complaint.

The Holts married in July 2008 and Melody said they split for good in April. Per her divorce filing, she left Alabama and moved to Georgia.

If you know anything about the couple then you know they’ve had a rough couple of years and it’s all played out on the OWN reality series. Despite the beautiful couple being the CEOs of a multi-million dollar business and being married for 12 years, half of their marriage has been riddled with infidelity and they’ve struggled to get things back on track.

During season 1 Melody caught Martell cheating with another woman – who he referred to as a “peasant” and the couple briefly split only to reconcile once they found out they were expecting their fourth child.

News of their divorce comes just days after the premiere episode for season 2. From the promo trailers it’s clear the couple will still be working on their marital issues throughout the season.

The split appears to be final however because the couple is also selling their six-bedroom, six-bathroom Huntsville-area mansion for $1 million. Melody asked that neither side have to pay the other child support, and both should continue having joint physical and legal custody of the kids.
