In the latest string of celebs who say dumb things, Trina has entered the chat! And now, Da Baddest Bitch is being cancelled over her tragic take on protesting.

While chatting with Trick Daddy on 99 Jamz Radio, the Miami rapper went OFF, venting about curfews and the need to implement them earlier. “They need to make the curfew at 6 p.m.,” Trina stated. “Keep everybody off the street, these animals off the streets, that are running around in Miami-Dade County acting like they have escaped from a zoo. Lock them up at 5 p.m. so the streets can be nice and clean, that’s how I feel.”

Of course, the statement shocked Trick Daddy who tried to explain the need to let protestors let their voices be heard. But Trina was undeterred. She went on to vocalize her disgust with the property damage done to her friends store, while negating the hundreds of thousands of peaceful protestors who have pushed for changes in policing across the country. She then accused most of the protestors of doing it for the wrong reasons. She ended her Trina’s tea segment stating that when she gets pulled over she’s never scared because she has her “license, and registration, and insurance,” and knows her rights. As if that’s all you need to stay alive…

Trina’s tirade went viral and she immediately began trending with people calling for her cancellation.

Unfortunately, Trina’s not the only one to be on the wrong side of the argument. Reality TV star Shekinah got blasted for crying over Gucci being looted, The Dream got lambasted over his insensitive tweets, Virgil Abloh was cancelled over placing more importance on his friend’s store than systemic racism and police brutality, and Lil Wayne was shut all the way down over his insinuation that the Black community is to blame for George Floyd’s death.

Overall, it seems like a lot of celebrities are loud and wrong on the issues and it’s causing fans to ask, ‘why the hell are we looking to celebrities for leadership anyways?’ Valid question — and if you are among those asking it, we have a few people we think you should consider following that have their ears to the street, are fighting for justice, and give factual information on the protests.
