Issa rae Talks Insecure, Beef With Molly And The Lovebirds

Sorry folks! The battle between Issa (Issa Rae) and Molly (Yvonne Orji) on Insecure may be going down for a while.

If you’ve been watching season 4 you know that it’s been all about the slow deterioration of Issa and Molly’s friendship. The uncomfortable, yet highly relatable, frenemy situation the two ladies find themselves in has been sad to watch. It has also caused quite the commotion online with people picking sides.

Show creator and star Issa Rae opened up to HipHollywood about the feud … and revealed if there’s an end in sight.

“Something drastic would have to happen at this point or I think they could benefit from talking but I think they might be past talking,” she confessed. “So I don’t know. I’ve been in places like that, in situations like that before and you know sometimes those friendships just don’t work out.”

In the meantime Issa can be seen trying to repair her relationship with boyfriend Kumail Nanjiani  and solve a murder in her new flick The Lovebirds. We honestly don’t know why these two haven’t worked together before. Their funny banter and witty one-liners make them a perfect comedic pair … and they’d agree.

“I was such a huge fan of hers for such a long time and always wanted to work with her,” said Kumail.

“I felt a connection to [Kumail] because felt like we were on the same page a lot,” Issa added. “I sometimes talk sh-t and sometimes and all I would have to do is look at Kumail and he’d know … so I relished in that, I loved that.”

You can see The Lovebirds on Netflix now.
