Diddy Catches Heat For Telling Black Americans Not To Vote For Joe Biden

It’s not uncommon for Sean “Diddy” Combs to use his platform to help motivate the masses. It’s also not uncommon for the Bad Boy head honcho to encourage young people to vote with the Rock the Vote and Vote or Die movements.

Unfortunately it seems (to some) that he is doing the exact opposite.

The media mogul recently posted a video from his interview with good friend Naomi Campbell. In the clip, Diddy tells Black Americans not to automatically vote for Democratic candidate Joe Biden just because of his party affiliation. He also told viewers not to vote because they’re afraid of sitting President Donald Trump. “It’s whoever is gonna take care of our community. Whoever wants to make a deal. It’s business at this point,” Diddy stated. He added that Biden needs to make his policies pertaining to “Black and Brown people” clear “or else he can’t get the vote. I will hold the vote hostage if I have to.”

Not surprisingly folks were quick to respond and even criticize Diddy for his words like Kenny Burns, his former right-hand man and the Senior Vice President of Brand Development for Combs Enterprises.

The video also caused a heavy debate on Twitter.

One user said: “Why would we want Biden he is a life long politician that hasn’t achieved anything except becoming Obama Vp and authoring the 94 crime bill. We already see where he wants black people.”

While another criticized Diddy for deleting all the pro-Biden comments.

“It’s one thing to post ignorant shit but to delete all comments encouraging people to vote and support Biden and keep up all the pro-Trump or all comments encouraging people not to vote. Diddy is a complete clown and I’ve lost all respect for him.”

Celebs like Jamie Foxx and Isaac Hayes also spoke out against Diddy’s proclamation, while T.I. and Killer Mike seemed to agree reposting a message from Tezlyn Figaro.
