Just days after announcing the launch of her porn career, Steven Spielberg’s daughter just spent the weekend in jail. Mikaela Spielberg, 23, spent 11 hours in custody in Nashville, Tenn., Saturday after being arrested for a fight with her 47-year-old pro-darts-player fiancé, Chuck Pankow.
She was eventually freed on a $1,000 bond and given a court date for next Monday after being charged with misdemeanor domestic violence.
Mikaela told the Sun that she should never have been arrested, blaming a miscommunication with officers.
“I am personally very heartbroken and I feel betrayed because I called for medical assistance,” she told the UK paper in a statement. Mikaela also appeared teary-eyed and distraught in her mugshot.
Pankow told the paper that “no one is hurt” and he had not wanted the case pursued.
“We are both fine. It was a huge misunderstanding. She’s home now,” Pankow told the Sun.
He did not give details on what happened in the fight or what sparked it, the paper said.
An affidavit obtained by the Sun says the fight started with a “rude” comment Chuck made, the report says.
Cops were called at 4 a.m. and determined Mikaela was the aggressor after she allegedly made conflicting statements, according to the arrest document.
Mikaela told the paper that she looks forward to clearing her name.
Mikaela was adopted as a child by the director and his wife of 29 years, actress Kate Capshaw. Initially it was reported that her famous parents were supportive of her new career endeavors but other sources say they are embarrassed and heartbroken.
