Happy Met Gala Monday!

On this coveted first Monday of May the world’s of fashion, sports, and entertainment collide as A-listers converge for The Costume Institute’s spring exhibition aka The MET Gala.

This years theme was, “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty,” highlighting the late designer’s acclaimed work at Balmain, Patou, Chloé, Fendi, Chanel, and his eponymous label, Karl Lagerfeld.

From tweed, to pearls, to black and white ensembles, guests hit the massive carpet paying homage to the man and his illustrious 65-year career in fashion.

Here’s who was hot and who had us bothered.

Jennifer Lopez

Per usual JLO slayed rocking this velvet and sateen Ralph Lauren halter dress and fascinator.

Teyana Taylor

Teyana Taylor ate and left no crumbs in this tweed Thom Browne look.

Jeremy Pope

The actor wore a stunning Balmain ensemble that featured a massive photo of Karl Lagerfeld printed across the train.

Cardi B

Cardi switched up her outfit on the carpet changing into this Chenpeng Studio ballgown accessorized with a Lagerfeld-inspired tie and gray wig to match.

Yung Miami

The City Girls rapper rocked an Act N°1 number featuring a dramatic lace and feather neckline, black tulle train and pearl cords accentuating the hips.

Doja Cat

The songstress, not surprisingly, chose to channel Lagerfeld’s cat Choupette with this Oscar de la Renta gown complete with cat ears and feline facial prosthetics.

Brian Tyree Henry

The Oscar-nominated actor rocked a black ruffled Karl Lagerfeld look from his 2016–17 bridal collection … and we love it.

Pusha T

The rap star rocked this black and white Thom Browne suit.

Kerry Washington

The “Scandal” actress stunned in a black Michael Kors floral lace two-piece set.

Lil Nas X

The rap star showed up wearing nothing but a thong, platform boots and silver body pain along with thousands of Swarovski crystals, pearls and embellishments to transform into a high-fashion cat in honor of Lagerfeld’s kitty, Choupette.


The Bad Boy head-honcho rocked a custom Sean Jean A-line nylon taffeta puffer cape adorned with noir camellia flowers and custom suit also from the aforementioned brand.

Janelle Monae

Monae’s Thom Browne outfit was actually multiple looks in one, with the “Glass Onion” star stripping down to a sheer wireframe gown atop a sequined bikini on the carpet.

Yara Shahidi

Shahidi looked like a supermodel rocking this Jean Paul Gaultier gown inspired by 90s Chanel couture.

Naomi Campbell

Speaking of models Campbell wore a molten pink gown from Chanel’s spring/summer 2010 couture collection.

Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade

The power couple rocked coordinating Prada monochromatic black and red looks.

Quinta Brunson

Brunson wore a floor-length Prabal Gurung gown with long train and sheer gloves.
