“Basketball Wives L.A.” cast member Brittish Williams has been indicted by a federal grand jury in St. Louis on fraud charges.

Williams, who appeared on the third season of BBWLA, was indicted on Sept. 22 on five felony charges of misuse of a Social Security number, four charges of bank fraud, three charges of making false statements to the IRS, three charges of wire fraud and three charges of aggravated identity theft.

She was arrested Thursday and pleaded not guilty to all charges.

According to the indictment, Williams is being accused of using false Social Security numbers in 2017 to obtain loans, lines of credit and other funds from banks. Prosecutors say that in 2017 and 2018, Williams deposited four checks ranging between $4,500 and $5,800 into bank accounts she controlled and then withdrew the money before the checks bounced or banks realized they were fraudulent. She’s also being accused of using fake names and Social Security numbers to falsely claim dependents on her 2017-2019 tax returns.

In a statement, Williams’ attorney said he believed she has been targeted because of her celebrity and expects her name to be cleared “once the evidence is produced.”

As previously reported Williams is set to return to Basketball Wives for season 10. Filming began a few months ago with Williams, Brooke Bailey, DJ Duffey and Angel Brinks who were all asked to return.
