Get Ready To Say ‘The Artist Formerly Known As Kanye West’

Kanye West wants to legally change his name … simply to Ye.

Yes, the nickname he’s gone by for years and years now. Apparently that’s the name he wants the world to know him by going forward.

According to reports Kanye’s asked a judge to grant him the official name change going from Kanye Omari West to “Ye.” He recently filed the legal docs in L.A. If a judge signs off, then Kanye as you know him is a goner. It’ll be all Ye … all day.

Interestingly, Kanye also wants to drop his family name — West, from his persona altogether. As previously reported he’s been feverishly working on his upcoming album “Donda” named after his late mother, who died in 2007.

Ye is even having his childhood home replicated for his listening event Thursday inside Soldier Field in his hometown of Chicago.

His album, still has yet to be released. West has also wiped his Instagram clean, but is still going by his government name on the social media platform … at least for now.
