Kanye West’s album listening party maybe over and done, but according to reports he’s still in the building.
Apparently he’s made the Mercedes-Benz Stadium his home until he finishes his album. Sources with direct knowledge say Kanye opted to miss his performance at Rolling Loud in Miami because he has literally moved into the Atlanta stadium. Per the source, Kanye and team have created a studio space, living quarters and even have a chef to prepare his meals inside MBS.
As previously reported, Ye held his massive album party Thursday inside MBS. The album named after his beloved late mother Donda West was slated to drop Friday, but per Justin LeBoy will be released on August 6th.
Ye was said to be so inspired by the crowd, he wanted to stay in Atlanta and finish things up.
On Saturday night he was even spotted enjoying the Atlanta United soccer game held inside the stadium. According to fan videos and pictures he could be seen wearing the same red leather outfit and face mask from his listening session.
No word on if he’s adding songs, or just fine tuning some tracks. Per the listening session the album features audios snippets from his mother, and features from artists like Travis Scott, Lil Baby, Don Toliver, Vory and Playboi Carti. There’s also a song with Jay Z — which marks the first time they’ve collaborated since their album “Watch The Throne.”
Jay reportedly didn’t turn his verse in until the day of the ATL listening session.
