Sex and The City is returning to HBO and Jennifer Hudson says she game to play Louise from St. Louis … again.

The actress appeared in the first Sex in the City movie in 2008, playing Carrie Bradshaw’s assistant. Despite her character moving back to St. Louis at the end of the movie, Hudson told Entertainment Tonight that she’d love to make a cameo in the upcoming HBO Max revival, And Just Like That.

“I hope so, that would be cool. I am down, I am down!,” she told ET’s Kevin Frazier.

That being said, she hasn’t received any calls from Sarah Jessica Parker and the gang. “Not yet! But I am interested,” she said before jokingly asking Frazier, “have you heard something?”

As previously reported, SJP, Cynthia Nixon, and Kristin Davis are allegedly returning to reprise their roles and will make $1 million an episode. However, Kim Cattrall, who played Samantha Jones, is reportedly not returning.

We think adding a storyline around Hudson’s character would be a great replacement. Power show runner Courtney Kemp echoed those sentiments in a post on Twitter.

In the meantime 2021 is poised to be a big year for Hudson with her turn as Aretha Franklin in Respect hitting theaters this summer and new film Baba Yaga available exclusively on Oculus Quest now.
