LeBron James Pleads With Hometown To Help Find A Killer

Lebron James is calling on the residents of his hometown of Akron, Ohio to help find the person who killed his best friend’s sister.

James and Brandon Weems have been close since their early days playing in the pee wee football league. The two are so close that Bron refers to Weems (who is the Cleveleand Cavalier’s director of scouting) as a brother, not just a friend. So, it’s only natural that when Brandon hurts, so does Bron.

On Wednesday, Brandon revealed on Instagram that his sister Ericka had been killed.

To my beautiful sister…We were just talking about celebrating your birthday and now I can’t believe you are gone!! Taken from me, the family, and your friends way too soon!! You were truly our moms child. You had such a kind heart and a warm soul. So open to care for… help..and love whoever crossed your path. You recently just found your “glow” and it looked amazing on you!! I was so proud of you and happy that you finally found peace and happiness in your life. Why would anyone want to do this to you?? I’m so angry sad and heartbroken. My life will never be the same without you!! But I’m happy you and mom are back together! Watch over us from up there and I promise we got you down here!! Love you forever and always!!💙💙💙💙💙#JusticeForEricka #10/23

According to reports out of Ohio, the 37-year-old was found by family members in Akron on. Monday with a gunshot wound to her head. Unfortunately, no arrest have been made, nor have authorities identified a suspect.

Thus the reason why LeBron took to Twitter to ask for help…

If you have any information on the death of Ericka Weems you are encouraged to contact the Akron authorities at 330-375-2TIP. Additionally, a $5,000 reward has been offered by Summit Country crimestoppers.
