Here’s How Towanda Braxton’s Family Found Out She’s Engaged!

Towanda Braxton’s family just found out she was engaged and it wasn’t from her.

TMZ caught her sister Trina Braxton and her mother Evelyn Braxton at LAX on Wednesday and asked about Towanda’s engagement to music producer Sean Hall and they had no idea.

“Wait, wait. What? Are you messing with me right now? She said she’s getting married?”Are you messing with me?,” questioned Trina clearly in shock before ushering her mother to come over.

Talk about finding out in the streets.

Momma Evelyn was just as surprised, but was happy Hall finally put a ring on it. The couple who have been dating for a while were in the airport the day earlier and shared the good news with the paparazzo who thought they might be in town for a secret Toni Braxton wedding.

“We getting married,” Towanda said. When the reporter asked if the two were joking with him, Hall said, “I wouldn’t joke about that.”

A few months ago there were rumors that the Braxton Family Values  star and Hall were having a baby. Looks like they’ve decided to put the marriage before the baby carriage.

Braxton, who divorced Andre Carter in 2016, penned a sweet message to Hall on her Instagram on September 24 celebrating their anniversary.

28 + years ago…our paths crossed musically. At hello our energies connected. The first kiss (thinking about it still makes me smile) was enormously electrifying. I remember thinking how much of a gentleman you were when we were riding on the 405 together in a Jeep late one night and the covers were not put on…it was 20 degrees and you gave me your jacket so I can stay warm while you were driving…FREEZING your butt off!! 😂😂 we never knew each other biblically but we had a genuine love and respect for each other. Fast forward…2015…working on the Braxton’s Christmas album and the mutual connection became our final connection. That day in July changed my life because we never stopped talking ever since. I love you Sean…everyday is a journey of growth and love. The way you love me and the kids is simply remarkable. Even now after 5 years…when you touch me I feel the love you exude for me. I can’t imagine spending my life with anyone else. Thank you God for gently placing this incredible man back in my life….here’s to a lifetime of happiness! I love you my king. Towanda introduced the world to her new sweetheart during the last season of Braxton Family Values. Hall is a producer and has been friends with Braxton since the 1990s. He has also been married and divorced, like Braxton.
