Well, that was a surprising turn of events! After it was announced that Vivica Fox would have to miss her E! hosting duties for Sunday night’s Emmy Awards due to being diagnosed with COVID-19, the actress is now saying is was all based on misinformation.
Both Vivica and veteran host Giuliana Rancic were tapped to take the mics for E!’s “Live From the Red Carpet” Emmys pre-show. That is until it was revealed that both women were diagnosed with coronavirus. Rancic made her announcement via video, while Brad Goreski, who filled in for Ms. Fox, read her statement during the live show.
“During these unprecedented times, it’s more important than ever that we follow all safety and health rules and guidelines to protect ourselves and each other,” Fox shared.
But then, on Tuesday morning, Vivica announced that she, in fact, NEVER had COVID and had only tested positive on Friday after a self-administered test. According to her Instagram page, the actress visited a medical professional as a follow-up and received another test which came back negative.
Thankfully, Ms. Fox says she’s feeling great and thanked everyone for their love and support. We’re also glad to hear V is doing well and is in the clear. But did you guys miss seeing her on Sunday?
