Twitter Slams Marques Houston For Being Engaged To 19-Year-Old, He Responds

Twitter has a lot of questions regarding singer/actor Marques Houston and his new fiancé Miya Juanita Pinkney. The chatter has now also caused Raz B to trend on Twitter and Houston has even responded defending his romance. We know it’s a lot to unpack. So lets start with Houston.

Last March the former Immature bandmate and Sister, Sister star announced his engagement to Pinkney via his Instagram account. According to Page Six, Marques and Miya had been dating since October 2018. In an Instagram post from last year, Miya credits God for bringing them together.

Twitter Calls Out Their Age Difference

Now for some reason Houston’s engagement is a hot topic on Twitter and folks are up in arms about their age difference. Houston is 38 while it’s being reported that Miya is 19. It’s also being reported that they started dating a few days after she turned 18 years old.

Raz B Trends On Twitter

People also began bringing up former B2K singer Raz B and his sexual assault allegations against Houston and Chris Stokes. Stokes apparently is also close with Houston’s fiance whom she calls her “play dad.”

Houston Responds

Now it seems Houston has caught wind of all the chatter and responded. According to Houston he didn’t know Miya for years (while she was underage) as previously reported, and also explained her relationship with Stokes.

“I met Miya in 2018 through a mutual friend. Never before then, did I even know she existed. The fact that she was listed on one of our films was a misprint or someone being messy. Anyone can post on IMDB. And there’s no way someone that young could even work on a film set in the position of Art Directer because that position requires years of experience.”

He continued, “Miya is like a daughter to Chris Stokes because we are all like family. Being a Jehovah’s Witness, we all showcase true love like family. That’s it. Chris’ real daughter, Chrissy Morales became friends with Miya in 2018, where we all first met Miya at a Jehovah’s Witness convention. It was then that Chrissy and Miya became friends. Miya and I didn’t start dating until she was an adult. We fell in love and got engaged in March of 2019. My dad Michael loves her, and the people I am closest to all love her as well. Most importantly we have Jehovahs blessing 😁 “

Interestingly he didn’t address concerns regarding their age difference or Raz B.
