The reunion we’ve been waiting for has finally happened.
Will Smith took a minute, so just sit right there, and we’ll tell you how he reunited the cast from “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.”
That’s right, Big Willie wrapped up his Snapchat show, “Will From Home,” with a 2-part finale featuring some of the show’s cast members. Alfonso Ribeiro, Tatyana Ali, Karyn Parsons, Daphne Maxwell Reid, Joseph Marcell and DJ Jazzy Jeff chatted with Smith from their homes.
It’s the first time the cast is reuniting on-screen since the incredibly popular NBC sitcom ended its 6-season run in May 1996. Smith said he wanted to get everyone together since its also been 30 years since the show’s first season.
Part 1 aired Wednesday morning and part 2 is set for Thursday at 6 AM ET on Snapchat’s Discover page — and will include a special tribute to Uncle Phil, the late James Avery.
We asked some of the cast back in 2019 if a reunion was on the horizon… it seemed like schedules were a big issue. We guess we can thank COVID-19 for putting everyone’s life on pause.
“Will From Home” follows Smith practicing social distancing at home with his family. The show proved popular … with 15 million unique viewers in the first 3 episodes. As previously reported Will’s guests have included Tyra Banks, Kevin James, DJ Jazzy Jeff and even Dr. Anthony Fauci.
