Nick Gordon, Bobbi Kristina’s Ex, Dead In Apparent Drug Overdose

At just 30-years-old, Nick Gordon, the man who was once engaged to Bobbi Kristina, has died of a suspected drug overdose.

Gordon’s brother, Junior Walker, confirmed the news in a Facebook post writing, “God why did I have to lose my brother on New Years.” “All I can do is cry,” the post continued.

Reports state that Gordon was in the hospital leading up to his passing. According to the Daily Mail, Nick suffered “a series of heart attacks after he was rushed into intensive care in Florida amid New Year’s celebrations.” He later died at Altamonte Springs Hospital.

During their tumultuous relationship both Nick and Bobbi Kristina were know to be prolific drug abuser. Gordon and another friend (who also died from a drug overdose in 2018) found BK unconscious in the bathtub of her Georgia home after a suspected drug overdose. Bobbi spent almost 6 months in a coma before succumbing to her brain injuries in July 2015. Nick never faced criminal charges, but was held legally responsible for her wrongful death in a civil case.

Bobbi Kristina’s fate was similar to her mother’s, Whitney Houston, who was also found unresponsive in a bathtub and died of a drug overdose in 2012.

An autopsy is schedule to be performed on Nick’s body later this week — a toxicology report should be available within 3 weeks.

One of the last times we saw Nick in public was at the premiere of “Sparkle”, Whitney’s last film. Both Bobbi Kristina and Nick came to the premiere, while the cast spoke of what an honor it was to work with Whitney.
