#AboutLastNight: Cynthia Erivo Slays & Billy Porter Struggles At 2020 Critics Choice Awards
The 2020 Critics Choice Awards went down Sunday night and per usual it was filled with some fashion hits and misses. By in large the looks were a little parred down compared to last week’s Golden Globes but their was still plenty of drama. Stars still rocked bold hues, sequins and embellished sleeves and of course dramatic trains. Let’s start with a look that has us floored and work our way to the one’s that failed to fly.
Zendaya
The Euphoria actress was the talk of the carpet in this hot pink look by Tom Ford.
Marsha Stephanie Blake
The When They See Us actress was pretty in pink in this Greta Constantine gown.
Ava Duvernay
The When They See Us director looked stunning in this custom white long sleeve Michael Cinco gown.
Niecy Nash
Niecy Nash wowed in this blue off the shoulder gown by Tadashi Shoji.
Lupita Nyong’o
The Us star looked like a Godiva goddess in this chocolate brown dress by Michael Kors.
Cynthia Erivo
The Harriet actress and Critics Choice nominee rocked the carpet in this geometric patterned Fendi frock.
Jennifer Lopez
JLo wore a champagne colored gown by Georges Hobeika and accessorized with Harry Winston diamonds and Casadei heels.
Billy Porter
Billy Porter usually slays the red carpet but this look was more of a nay. For some reason folks weren’t quite feeling this floor-length two-tone satin gown that showed off his huge collection of temporary butterfly tattoos.
Susan Kelechi Watson
This look was also a miss for This Is Us star. From the front this Galila Lahav gown was fab but from the back it looked like you could see her nude underwear.
