Usher’s Former Nanny Files Lawsuit: You Overworked Me
It’s time for another nanny versus celebrity legal battle. Entering the ring, Usher Raymond and former nanny, Cecilia Duncan. Usher is being sued for allegedly overworking Duncan who cared for his two sons back in December of 2010.
Cecilia, who was hired as a part-time nanny, claims that she worked over 40 hours a week, but The Voice coach failed to pay her overtime. Duncan allegedly confronted Usher about being paid overtime, but the singer swept the complaints aside.
Usher fired Duncan last September and allegedly never came up with the money for overtime. Duncan is now suing for failure to pay wages, wrongful termination, and is demanding unspecified damages.
HipHollywood reached out to Usher’s camp, but no word back.
A source connected with Usher told TMZ that this is a “frivolous lawsuit and all the allegations made by the former nanny are completely false.”
