Rihanna Goes Platinum … Again

Rihanna has done it again. The Barbadian beauty’s latest album, Unapologetic, went platinum this week. It’s the sixth album by the singer to receive platinum certification; only one of her albums, 2005’s Music of the Sun, has not achieved the feat.

Unapologetic hit the million sales mark after spending 27 weeks on the charts. 9,400 copies of the album sold last week, pushing it over the mark.

Rihanna’s best-selling effort to date is 2005’s Good Girl Gone Bad, which has sold 2.8 million copies so far.
