Tom Cruise is back as Pete “Maverick” Mitchell in the highly anticipated sequel Top Gun Maverick.
The veteran actor underwent intense fighter pilot training for his role — spending three months with the U.S. Naval Academy.
“I hadn’t done it since 1985, so I got to do it again which was a lot of fun,” he said while also admitting he got a little air sick.
Meanwhile the new class of ‘Top Guns’ also had to undergo flight training to be able to do their own stunts. So did they pass with with flying colors?
HipHollywood sat down with cast including Miles Teller, Jay Ellis and Glen Powell and got the scoop on who got sick the most while filming the intense aerial sequences.
“There were guys that were going up and they were puking every time they went up,” said Teller. “Nobody ever wanted to to re-do something in those jets so you just had to get it out, but it was tough, it was really hard.”
Teller who plays Bradley “Rooster” Bradshaw, made it clear he was not one of those who got sick during filming, but said three others did.
