Jamal Bryant Issues Apology To Kevin Samuels Family

Published

on

Pastor Jamal Bryant took time during his sermon Sunday (May 15) to issue a formal apology to Kevin Samuels’ family.

In case you missed it, Bryant threw some shade at the controversial relationship expert who passed suddenly on May 5th, specifically an alleged GoFundMe campaign that was made to go towards Kevin’s funeral service.

“How can a man say that you are of low value after 35? How can a man say that you don’t have the level of traction of a high powered man when that man has to get a GoFundMe for his funeral?” Bryant said of the late Samuels; although never publicly saying his name.

Supposedly, Samuels’ friend Melanie King created the GoFundMe to help cover funeral expenses. However, it was discovered she was a scammer, and his family claimed that they had never heard of her.

R&B singer Omarion also called out the New Birth Missionary Baptist Church pastor for his remarks, while T.I. called out folks like Bryant for their ongoing criticism of Samuels provocative point of view.

Following all the backlash Bryant issued a mea culpa.
