Ray J is clearing a recent wild rumor about him.
He took to Instagram to set the record straight regarding reports that he’s in talks with the Trump administration to pardon Suge Knight. On Wednesday, The Daily Mail posted a lengthy story detailing the musicians plan to help get his longtime friend out of prison. Ray J pleaded with the site in a video message to delete the false story.
“@dailymail pls stop reporting false stories about me!,” he wrote in the caption. “This is the second time y’all trying to pull a stunt like this! The story you put up is false and corny! I’ve been working very hard building my companies and staying out of BS! If you wanna post a story about me pls make sure it’s true.”

In true Ray J fashion he went on to plug his businesses and upcoming projects and told the site if they were looking for a story highlight those ventures.
After the salacious story hit the internet folks of course assumed he was once again trolling his famous ex-girlfriend Kim Kardashian who is also working with Trump to get wrongly convicted prisoners out of jail amongst other things. Per the story, Ray J was following in his famous exes footsteps and has been in “secret talks with members of the Trump Administration in his own bid for criminal justice reform.”
Ray J is however working with Knight on other business ventures. As previously reported, the serial entrepreneur and his manager bought Knight’s life rights in an effort to secure TV, film and book deals on his behalf while he is behind bars.
In 2018, Knight, 54, was sentenced to 28 years in prison for a hit-and-run that killed Terry Carter and injured Cle Sloan in 2015. He received credit for time served; he reportedly could be released in just over 10 years.
