Joycelyn Savage has been one of R. Kelly’s live-in girlfriends for years, she’s held him down through his recent court battles and even spoke to Gayle King, praising the R&B singer as a partner and professing her love, while seated next to his other girlfriend Azriel Clary. But, now things seem to be shifting and Savage is saying she’s “sorry.”
Just earlier this year, Savage went on national TV with various claims — those supporting Kelly and condemning her parents who believe she’s been brainwashed by the singer. In the March interview with King, Joycelyn claimed that her parents, who have been very vocal in wanting their daughter to return home, were only out for money and fame, and the the only person who really loved her was R. “Both (Savage and Clary) our parents are basically out here trying to get money and scam, because they didn’t agree on what happened, you know, with music or whatever it could be. And they’re just very upset,” Savage said. The 23-year-old went on to proclaim, [Robert’s] our full support, and we’re his full support. And all we need is each other.”
Well, if the Instagram account bearing her name can be accurately attributed to her, it sounds like Joycelyn may be changing her tune. On Friday morning, she posted a note claiming she needs “to reveal” and that she should have done so “a long time ago.” She captioned the post with, “I’m sorry.”
As we all know, Kelly has been plagued with accusations of sexual misconduct/assault against minors for decades. He’s currently in jail in connection with 18 federal charges related to the sexual abuse of girls and women … and until now, Savage was standing by his side.
Many speculate that Joycelyn will finally reveal the real details of the dirt Kellz has been involved in for years. Others believe she is now working with the feds in keeping Kelly locked up. But, there are the skeptics who think that either the account is fake or that Joycelyn is seeking attention to then turn right back around and support Kelly.
Time will only tell, but we’ll be sure to keep you posted.
