Nipsey Hussle’s Family Granted Custody Of His 10-Year-Old Daughter

The custody battle for the daughter of late rapper Nipsey Hussle has come to an end.

According to reports, a judge granted his immediate family custody of  Emani, 10, Tuesday (Oct. 15). His mother, Angelique Smith, his sister Samantha Smith and his brother Sam Asghedom are now Emani’s legal guardians after a court said they displayed enough evidence to prove their claims that Emani’s birth mother, Tanisha Foster, is unfit to have Emani full time.

As previously reported, Samantha was granted temporary guardianship of Emani back in July and  had been caring for the young girl since Hussle’s untimely death.

Meanwhile, actress Lauren London, who is the mother of Hussle’s 3 year old son Kross Ermias Asghedom was granted guardianship over Kross’s estate. On Tuesday a judge gave London permission to manage her son’s finances since he is poised to inherit half of his dad’s estate. The other half would go to Emani, with each of them getting $1 million.

Hussle, whose real name is Ermias Asghedom, tragically died on March 31 after being gunned down in front of his store, The Marathon, in Crenshaw.

The alleged shooter, Eric Holder, is awaiting trial as he has been charged for Hussle’s murder, as well as two counts of attempted murder for allegedly injuring two other men while shooting Hussle, and one count of possession of a firearm.
