Fans are about to get a double does of Will Smith in his new film Gemini Man.
HipHollwyood hit the carpet and asked Smith the all important question … if he used the his 1998 hit song “Just The Two Of Us” in the film. It seems like a no brainer, right?
Smith got a good laugh out of the question but ultimately admitted, “I didn’t even think of that.”
In the Gemini Man Smith plays a an elite assassin who is tasked with taking down a younger version of himself. The film is directed by Ang Lee and uses technology that took some 20 years to perfect.
“When I saw me and my digital clone it was spectacular. It was actually a little freaky,” admitted Smith.
“It’s hard to create a digital human being, that’s what we did a full digital replacement of Will at 23,” explained producer Jerry Bruckheimer who directed Smith on the film “Enemy Of The State. “He had to work twice as hard on this film.”
So did he get paid twice? Bruckheimer quipped, “Don’t say that to him, he’ll ask me for more money.”
We guess that’s a no.
Gemini Man hit’s theaters October 11.
