The beef between Evelyn Lozada and OG just got even juicier.
Lozada has just slapped OG with a a restraining order and a lawsuit for defamation of character for calling her a “racist bigot” on Twitter.
Drama on Social Media
If you’ve been following, the drama between EV and OG, real name Ogom Chijindu, spilled over onto social media a couple weeks ago. In a post on Instagram On September 11 Evelyn wrote, “Nobody watches you harder than the people that can’t stand you” with a laughing monkey emoji.
OG then clapped back with a repost of her own that read, “Wow so now black women are monkeys. Everyone boycott this trash box you are disgusting.”She later added on Twitter: “And there it is..show your true colors you racist bigot. You called Cece ‘Ling Ling’ Jackie a ‘cockroach’ & now me a ‘monkey.’”
Folks on Twitter seemed to buy it and began dragging the mother of two, who in an attempt to diffuse the drama responded and proclaimed that she was Afro-Latina, during on an interview on the E! News show Just the Sip.
“I consider myself Afro-Latina,” she said. “I have backtracked my roots so I know where I come from. I know I have a little bit of everything.”
Needless to say, it didn’t go over well.
According to TMZ, Ev’s now taking legal action because she’s lost several endorsement deals surrounding the racism allegations and she’s especially offended because “her 2 children are African and Hispanic descent.” She also cites in the lawsuit that her foundation raises money for abused women and has raised thousands of dollars for the Sauti Yeti Center for African Women.
But while folks are dragging Lozada on social media production sources are saying OG is the real villain.
OG’s Aggressive Antics
A well-placed source told BOSSIP that claims that OG is aggressive by cast-mates on-camera stems from behavior behind the scenes.
“The whole thing about OG being aggressive actually started BEHIND the camera,” the source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, told BOSSIP. “She’s been harassing Viacom executives behind the scenes as well as exes in the production offices.”
What’s more, the source accuses OG of leaking executives and cast members’ personal email addresses.
“During this season she was constantly cussing out crew members for the most trivial things like cords being on the floor and in the way of her walking,” the “Basketball Wives” source said. “Or not having her water room temperature.”
That’s not all. OG also allegedly had some pretty wild demands.
“She was telling crew members and show execs that she would like to be addressed as Princess because she’s better than everyone,” the source recalled.
“The aggressive thing didn’t come from nowhere,” the source adds. “She caused a huge scene after cussing out TSA at the airport on the way to Costa Rica, THEN she got into a full-blown argument with someone on the plane over a window seat. The aggression storyline stems from a lot of off-camera issues that ended up spilling over onto television.”
The “Basketball Wives” source also says reports that executive producer Shaunie O’Neal wants OG our and that she’s been fired are also false.
“There was a time Shaunie personally pulled OG to the side to let her know she appreciated her,” the source recalls. “She told her she was doing a good job of keeping the dialogue going among the cast for content.”
Unfortunately, not everyone is happy to have OG around. Per the source, cast members are currently not speaking up about OG because she’s such a loose cannon.
“She’s told a couple of cast members that she worked really hard to get on “Basketball Wives” and everybody will know her name now that she’s made it,” the source for the show says, adding that OG’s been unable to get her cast mates to support her claims of being the victim of colorism because they feel she’s making it up to gain sympathy.
“OG conjured up this colorist story to get the fan bases attention,” the insider said. “She’s been overheard saying that society is extremely sensitive to racism and colorism right now and that’s the narrative she wants to use so the world knows her name. This is why no one else from the cast has joined her with these allegations because everyone knows it’s not to be true.”
